       Sabrina Kahana is the Princess of Wrinia and the sister of the youngest empress in over five hundred years. But rather than name a regent until she came of age, her sister forged an army and started on an empire in the wake of their parent’s deaths. Sabrina can understand her sister’s fury that has raged on throughout the years. For it was the cursed, spoiled earth of their kingdom that stole their kingdom’s magic, stole their parent’s lives, and stole Valora’s health. Still, Sabrina watches as her sister’s ailment spreads and worsens by the day. She knows her sister’s advisors do not wish Sabrina to become empress if her sister should fall to her sickness or in battle. She is too young and too idealistic for a time of war – or so they say. They wish her sister to wed instead.

         Raiden is working at his family’s vineyard when the royal carriages arrive. It’s unnerving when the newly made king steps out but downright sickening when he's ordered to march into the neighboring kingdom of the notorious Bloody Empress and offer her his hand in marriage.

        He thinks she’ll sooner cut his hand off than take it.

        Caught in a web of lies, treason, and marriage – Valora, Sabrina, and Raiden must find their places in a world meant to burn around them. For Valora, one step out of line could mean the destruction of Wrinia, the end of her sister, and the end of her life to assassins, her ailment, or even to her newly made husband. For Sabrina, she must balance her need to prove herself with her need to protect her kingdom’s only hope – herself. And for Raiden, his life is caught in the intricacies of a nobility he wasn’t born into but must play a part of if he’s to survive until Valora is over throne and he's rescued by his own kingdom.

#EvilQueenWIP (title pending) takes the arranged marriage trope and turns it on its head. It's an #ownvoices manuscript with a disabled main character with advanced OSD and focuses on the loneliness we feel when we're in pain.

It can be described as a gender-bent The Wrath and The Dawn and is comped to The Princess Will Save You and The Queens Of Innis Lear. It's heavily influenced by Finnish myth. The age category of this #wip is still bending.
